DRAFT 2013 EBC Ride Schedule

Please see “Weekly Rides” or “Destination Rides & Events” for seasonal starting locations and parking information.

Please arrive by the scheduled time of the ride.  This allows time for everyone to sign-in, riders to be introduced, and the leader to be sure everyone is prepared for the ride.  Rides will not take place if there is snow or ice on the surface of the road, or if it's raining or snowing.

Please wear a helmet, have a bike in good mechanical condition, carry water and a spare inner tube, and be on time so the ride can start promptly.   You are expected to ride safely and courteously as outlined in Guidelines for Safe Group Riding and to follow the rules of the road.  Ride leaders reserve the right at their sole discretion to ask any rider who does not wear a helmet or who treats others disrespectfully to leave the club sponsored ride.  All EBC rides must have a sign-in sheet and all participating riders must sign in.  You may ride with EBC a few times before joining.

Pace is the nominal riding speed on the road.  The overall average speed will be slower due to stops. The pace may vary due to conditions. On Fast, Fast Plus, Very Fast and Very Fast Plus rides you may be left behind if you cannot maintain the pace.

A bicycle ride may be considered an official EBC ride where miles may be counted, if it meets all of the following criteria:

  • It is an EBC scheduled ride open to and known by anyone who is capable of doing the ride and publicized with enough time for anyone who wants to go to do so. Rides may be scheduled in one of several ways:
    • Included in the annual list of rides managed by the Rides Chair.
    • Communicated to the Rides Chair via e-mail including start, distance, pace and other pertinent information with sufficient time to review and publish on the web schedule.
    • Formed as part of a regularly scheduled Show & Go ride.
    • Announced by an existing ride leader by noon of the day before the ride via the EBC Rides List Serve.
  • New rides may not conflict with already existing rides starting at the same day & time and going at the same pace, unless they are part of a scheduled Show & Go.
  • There must be a sign-in & waiver sheet with the names and signatures of all riders listing the date, name of the ride leader, the sweep, location and distance of the ride.
  • There must be at least two people on the ride, with the leader being a current club member.

The web ride schedule is updated whenever we are notified of changes or additions to club rides. To add a ride or change ride info, eMail the Rides Chair: or the Webmaster:
