This allows time for everyone to sign-in, riders to be introduced, and the
leader to be sure everyone is prepared for the ride. Rides will not
take place if there is snow or ice on the surface of the road, or if it's
raining or snowing.
Please wear a helmet, have a bike in
good mechanical condition, carry water and a spare inner tube, and be on time
so the ride can start promptly. You are expected to ride safely and
courteously as outlined in Guidelines for Safe Group Riding and to follow the rules of the
road. Ride leaders reserve the right at their sole discretion to ask
any rider who does not wear a helmet or who treats others disrespectfully to
leave the club sponsored ride. All EBC rides must have a sign-in sheet and all participating riders must sign in. You may ride with EBC a
few times before joining.
Pace is the nominal riding speed on
the road. The overall average speed will be slower due to stops. The
pace may vary due to conditions. On Fast, Fast Plus and Very Fast rides
you may be left behind if you cannot maintain the pace.
